So it's summer, well. the middle of summer. no one else is probably posting on their blogs, but i decided i would. because i don't really have anything else to do with my life. better said, i don't have a ton of summer plans. it's getting really close to being towards the school year already. the summer always goes by so fast, but last school year went by really fast too. i don't really know what to talk about, so i'm only writing a couple paragraphs.
my summer has legit on,y consisted of friends, netflix, and sleeping. that's like, it. i don't really have anything else to do. i should be exercising, because i'm fat lmao. well i don't really know what else to say. but i'm going to try to update this more often, or as often as i can. so. . . byeeee

Social Issues

My English class is writing about social issues. We were instructed to pick a social issue to write about, and everyone chose theirs. I chose to write about teenage depression. My teacher told us to try and find a couple main focuses about our topic and write about it with that standing point.
I could only come up with five main focuses about Teenage Depression. I decided that my main focus would be what is the biggest cause for depression and suicide. My other main topic would be on what are some signs of people maybe being depressed, and how are people trying to help or prevent people from being depressed, and how they are helping or trying to prevent kids/teens from killing or harming themselves.

Over-Restricted?

I'm not trash talking, or saying that this teacher is over board with the restrictions of music that she plays for the class, but I think that this is ridiculous. In my reading class we are allowed to request music to play while we are working, and one day the teacher said "Do you have any song requests?" And I raised my hand and requested the song Yours If You Want It by Rascal Flatts. And there is absolutely no swear words in it, and it is one of my favorite songs, and it isn't inappropriate either. But my reading teacher wouldn't play the song because of the first line of the song..."There's one more sip in this bottle of wine." She wouldn't play the song because of that, which in my opinion is ridiculous.
If you look up the lyrics to the song you won't see anything inappropriate, and you won't see swear words. But my teacher would not play the song because it has the word wine in it. And I get talking about like drugs and alcohol in school is "frowned upon", but the phrase in the song was legitimately "there's one more sip in this bottle of wine," and to me there shouldn't be a restriction on that for that one measly word. And I get that that phrase may be "not school appropriate" but how is it that bad?

Ms. Bixby's Last Day

I am reading this book. It's about these three boys in sixth grade, and their teacher, Ms. Bixby, is sick. And she's getting sent to Britain (I think) to be treated for her sickness. The three boys also ran into one of their teachers that works at their school, they found a way to get out of the situation, and continue on with their plan. After they got rid of the guy teacher that they ran into from their school, they had to avoid a bunch of familiar faces so they wouldn't get in trouble.
That's all the farther I got in the book, so I don't really know what else is going to happen. If I had to predict what I think would happen, I think that they're going to get caught by someone. With their luck, they might get caught by their parents or something.
But that's all I know so far, I'm looking forward to finishing this book. Bye.

Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pies?

After Ever After by Jordan Shonnenblick. A book about Jeffrey, or Jeff for short. He's healing from his chemotherapy sessions. And how he's met the girls of his dreams, Lindsey Abraham, aka "hot legs". He met on her first day of school because she was in the hallway before their first period class, and he was rushing to class because he didn't want to be late for class. He ended up seeing a 'damsel in distress' and helping her out. He helped her pick up her papers, books, and... "lady products". Her being the polite, sweet, and nice person Lindsey is, she said thank you and introduced herself. He froze, because it, you could say, was love at first sight... at least for him.

After helping Lindsey in the hallway, they both ended up being late for class, and through that they got a pass because they used the "I was showing the new kid around" line, knowing it would work. And throughout their first period, Jeffrey was IM-ing his best friend Tad on his computer during class about Lindsey, not thinking to turn the sound down, they got caught. And after that, they finally turned the sound down, adn continued IM-ing anyways. Still about Lindsey. After class was over, Lindsey asked Jeff to actually show her around, and helped her to her next class, still yet again being late.

So B It...

So B It by Sarah Weeks, another book I have recently started about a girl named Heidi It was trying to figure out where she came from...but her mother isn't much help with her bum brain. So Heidi finally got permission from Bernie (the one that takes care of her and her mother) to go to Liberty to see if she can find her grandma, only going off of the picture of someone that only could be her grandma, that she found snooping in her mother's closet. Heidi finally just arrived in Liberty now, and doesn't know what to do. Because she lost the money that she had so she can't even buy food for herself because she doesn't have anything to buy it with, she was going to ask other people for money. But she couldn't muster up enough courage to ask anyone for any money.
